Pressing hard before the Christmas break. Loft conversion in complete, less than 2 months later. Finishing plaster is now being applied onto internal walls. The focus will then shift to bathroom completion prior to acoustic chipboard flooring installation in preparation for 18mm solid oak being put down - all floating for improved acoustics (quieter mornings on 1st floor should children decide to have a jumping party as they wake at 6AM up in the loft - as children do, right?!). Pressing deadlines and tight schedules mean we sometimes need to estimate lengths and connections, resulting in us having to carry out some cutting and drilling on-site using handheld tools.

In order to gain significantly more ceiling space in new loft, we decided to completely remove old loft flooring beams and install new ones within depth of new steel beams.
